I have to admit that we are very lucky. We live within minuets of amazing things to do for health and wellness. Hiking, walking, biking, and stand up paddle boarding in the summer. Skiing, snowshoeing, and even ice climbing in the winter. Oh so very many things to do to stay fit and have fun at the same time.

Fall leavesHiking is a favorite of ours, especially during the fall when the leaves are changing and the colors are amazing. There are many hiking trails, you can find something for any fitness level.

Walgreens AppFor awhile now I have been a fan of tracking my activity during the day. A few years back I bought a FitBit, and more recently I even upgraded it. I love how I can keep on top of my activity levels. I also love that I can connect to other apps with it like Walgreens Balance Rewards program. Within that app you can earn points for healthy choices (things like walking, and eating well) which can then be redeemed for Walgreens gift cards.

Simply download the free app, create your free account, and start tracking your healthy choices. You can keep track of several options:

The above is a screencap of one of my mornings. I had just returned from a short walk, which earned me 40 points! Walking is something I enjoy doing daily, so racking up points should be fun and easy. I connected my FitBit to make tracking even easier (you have to connect devices from the website, not within the app).

I’m excited to see how many points I will rack up during a game of tennis! We have a lot of great courts around in our public parks. It’s so nice to have many free options for staying fit! What types of healthy things are there to do where you live?
