I love the hardwood floors and the light coming in through the windows. What a great space! And look at the adorable dog on the couch too… looks like Julie isn’t the only one who considers the space a favorite.

Favorite Spaces, is a weekly feature here at The Stylish Nest. What is it? Just like the name implies, it’s your favorite space! Each Sunday I will feature favorite spaces in people’s homes. This is your chance to show off the space that you love the most!

Here is my favorite space, the garden! Funny that my favorite spot at home would actually be outside of the house, but I love to work in the yard, and spend time in nature. It is also my favorite because it is the place where we have made the most dramatic changes, changes that make the world a little more beautiful as well as making our home much more fun for us too!

Favorite Spaces- Ethan’s Favorite

Ethan from the great site, One Project Closer, sent in his favorite space for Favorite Spaces Sunday.

The favorite room in my house is the living room. It’s located adjacent to the front door and lets out onto our deck. It’s great to be able to open the sliding doors and enjoy the summer breeze. Jocie and I painted this room a few months after purchasing the house. We didn’t rush to fill it with furniture. Instead we selected items that we really liked.

Here’s a picture of our sofa. It came from Scan Furniture. Just about everything else came from Target (and it’s all amazingly sturdy). This summer I hope to replace the carpet with hard wood floors. Another future project is adding crown molding.

Here is a look at the fireplace. On either side are built in shelves. My wife loves decorating them with seasonal knick-knacks.

I really enjoy the earthy colors and clean lines of this room. I feel like the room is elegant without sacrificing comfort. We can entertain guests or just kick back and relax. It’s not overly spacious but also not cramped.
