I have taken the plunge to do the Fall Kitchen Cure over at Apartment Therapy. Our kitchen has been on the front of my mind, especially since we have been looking into replacing our countertops. That’s not the only thing on my mind about our kitchen though. I am always trying to find a better way to organize it, especially since we don’t have a lot of cabinet space.
While looking for new countertops, we found that our kitchen is actually somewhat small (only 50 sq ft of counter), at just under 10×10. A lot of the space where cabinets would be are taken up with other things like the dishwasher, the oven and microwave, and of course, under the sink. Luckily we do have a pantry, which is one of my main goals to get under control.
I also have a small appliance addiction.
The first week, and this second week of the cure, are all about clearing out. I have done my best to clear the old food out, and this week we are supposed to look at clearing out the extra cooking and other such items that we no longer use. Honestly, we use everything we have because I am a clutter clearing “freak” and often do clear outs. I am taking this extra week to get my pantry even more organized.
Are you part of the Fall Kitchen Cure as well? Or do you just already have a wonderful kitchen?
