It’s always a joy to go into the garden and snap photos of what is blooming. I hope that you enjoy them too.
The first coneflowers of 2009. Currently spreading and making new plants, which makes us very happy.
Gorgeous, bright yellow, Tiger Lilly. They don’t last for long, but they sure are pretty while they are around. Note to self, plant many more of these.
Easter Lilly, planted from an Easter Lilly plant that was bought at Easter from the grocery store. A very good time to get them is after Easter when shops sell them for very, very, cheap.
Cosmos. Said to be annuals in our zone (5), I planted cosmos two springs ago and have had them return ever since. They are great for areas where you need something tall and colorful. And they attract a lot of butterflies!
Baby the Maltese may not have grown in the garden… but she contributes to it’s growth in other ways. Plus, she’s cute, so I had to include her enjoying the summer sun in her cooling jacket.

Awww, what a beautiful garden….love that cosmos and your doggie is adorable!
