Thanks for all the great input about where to find skulls. I am trying to decide the best route, probably a mix of some skulls with rocks. The next step is to find the rocks!

I am thinking of going past some construction sites and asking if I can take some rocks. Our ground is incredibly rocky here, and usually any attempt at planting something (even something like a petunia) will lead to running right into a rock. I hope that they won’t mind if I take some of the rocks, since I know there will be plenty!

We are in the middle of a family emergency right now though, my dad just had his 4th stroke, so it’s going to be some time before things return back to normal and I can get started on the garden plan. Just wanted to say thanks to all who left great links of where to find skulls!

A call for help!

There is this gorgeous garden plan that I want to build in the old dog run area. The only problem? My husband approved it with the stipulation that instead of rocks, I have to use skulls. Now, of course he was joking (partly, he thought it would be kind of funny)… but what would be even funnier is if I actually did it!

I have been looking online for skulls, and managbunga are they expensive! I found a bunch at Oriental Trading Company, but they were either foam or super pricey. The skulls need to be able to live outside without flying off in the wind, so foam is out. And since I need tons of them, the expensive ones are out as well.

So, do any of you know a good place to find a bunch of skulls? No real ones please (icky) but if you have any ideas how I can pull of this garden prank I would be super thankful!

Here is my favorite space, the garden! Funny that my favorite spot at home would actually be outside of the house, but I love to work in the yard, and spend time in nature. It is also my favorite because it is the place where we have made the most dramatic changes, changes that make the world a little more beautiful as well as making our home much more fun for us too!
