The Refresh’n Dryer Towel is an amazing towel that turns an ordinary dryer into a steam cleaner. If you often have clothing that just needs to be freshened up, not completely rewashed, or is even just wrinkled (we have this issue from clothing ending up in piles on the floor), the towel can refresh and unwrinkle the clothes in about 10 mins.
We really love the towel, and especially the fact that it is reusable and 100% natural. You can acheive the benefits of a steam clean, without any chemicals. Just soak the towel in water, toss it in with your clothing, turn on the dryer, and the Refresh’n Dryer Towel does the rest. One towel will refresh 3 articles of clothing at a time. They are good for up to 25 uses, and don’t shrink.
Now that we have tried it, I can’t imagine not having one on hand for those times when we need something clean to wear, but don’t want to do a load. So much of our clothing never really gets dirty enough for a full wash, the Refresh’n Dryer Towel is a great way to save time, water, and wear and tear. We think it’s totally wish list worthy!
Thanks to the Family Review Network for the chance to try out this great product!
I love to decorate for holidays, but I am the first to admit that I hate dealing with Christmas lights. This pre-lit wreath is lovely and since it already has the lights, it’s good to go right away! Instant decoration!

I was lucky enough to be able to try a Sassybax Slimming Slip, and the Long Leg Panty. Sassybax has been seen on Today, Big Idea, and in many magazines including Oprah’s “O”.
I couldn’t wait to try the slip under my favorite dress, and the panty under my favorite pair of jeans. Well, both of the Sassybax products have amazing “holding in” qualities. I especially enjoyed the slip because it worked well under a dress that I have that fits everywhere perfectly, but gets a tad tight on the mid section. With the slimming slip, it was a perfect fit everywhere.
The long leg panty was also a success, and was really nice under jeans, but even nicer under a pair of slacks. I am one of those un-lucky women who has “saddle bags”, and while the long leg panty didn’t take them away, it certainly helped slim them down. The longer leg also made it much more comfortable to wear, and the tummy section did a nice job of holding in as well. It did cause a tiny bit of a bulge at the top, but as with any shapewear, it’s bound to happen at least a little. But it wasn’t enough to be noticed under my shirt.
Oh, but one more thing about the panty that is nice, not only does it help slim and hold in, it also helps “lift and separate the derriere”! And it does! Not that my derriere needed a lot of lift, but I could see a difference in that area.
From the site:
Sassybax smoothes a woman’s silhouette, eliminates the possibility of bra bulge and provides exceptional comfort as it slims the back and torso. “Fear is a great motivator,” said Amanda. “A few years ago, when fashions got slimmer but I hadn’t, I suddenly became afraid for the first time of looking my age. I created Sassybax for women like me who need a little help keeping their figure looking younger and more fit.”
Amanda thought that if control-top pantyhose could tame and slim a woman’s bottom half, a control-top bra should be able to do the same thing for the upper half. She created a crude prototype, specified exact design and function criteria, and together with a textile company manufactured Sassybax’s flagship seamless bra.
I would say that Amanda reached her goal, Sassybax do make your figure look more slim and they are comfortable to wear. We think they are wish list worthy for sure! Visit the website to see all the many different styles available.

We had the chance to reveiw Sensible Sippers recently. First of all, we are a juice loving family. We are always looking for quick and easy ways to get more fruits and veggies into our diets, and juice, especially if it is pure juice, is a tasty way to do just that.

The juice boxes were a really easy way to get just the right amount of juice. And they are super convinent for packing in lunches. And it doesn’t hurt that they have the Berenstain Bears on the boxes! Very cute as well as healthy.
Sensible Sippers juice boxes for kids are 4.23 oz of certified USDA Organic juice, and feature classic Berenstain characters (Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Brother Bear and Sister Bear). Flavors are Fruit Punch, Banana, Apple, and Mixed Berry and contain 40% fewer calories than regular juice boxes, contain no added sugar, artificial flavors or preservatives, and are certified organic in accordance with the USDA’s National Organic Program.
Now, as for the taste. Because they are 50% juice and 50% water the flavor isn’t as strong as other juices. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. For example, with the fruit punch, the lighter flavor was just right, whereas we would have liked the apple to be stronger. Still, it’s a very pleasing flavor all around.

Why are we posting about something called a “Pink Tiki” that is served someplace we haven’t had the pleasure of visiting before? Because it’s a drink with a cause attached! A cause that is close to our heart!
Tiki’s Grill & Bar, located across from Waikiki Beach launches a weekly club night called Pink Tiki on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10pm. Building on its current success of nightly live music, Pink Tiki will be featuring a DJ in the Ocean Room, drink specials, VIP Bottle Service, dancing and a late night class on drink making.
A long time community supporter, Tiki’s has created a drink called “Pink Tiki,” and a dollar for every Pink Tiki drink purchased will be donated to the Queen’s Cancer Center. A unique pink ceramic tumbler will be featured on the daily menu to support the Queen’s Cancer Center on an ongoing basis. Tiki’s will also be giving the Queen’s Cancer Center, unlimited VIP cover passes to give out to donors, volunteers, and cancer survivors.
“Pink Tiki is the something we have wanted to launch for a long time but have been busy with other projects.” said Bill Tobin, Tiki’s Grill & Bar Managing Partner and CEO. “We are looking to attract a late night crowd after our dinner rush. Tiki’s has always been about bringing fun back into Waikiki!” Additionally, prior to opening Tiki’s, owners Tobin and Kelly McGill, and Greg Montgomery as well as other Tiki’s managers worked in nightclubs and lounges and all agreed that they missed the energy that a great DJ can create in a club.

The 10,000-square-foot, 380-seat Tiki’s Grill & Bar, featuring a South Pacific ambiance with a casual island theme, is located on the second floor of the ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel at 2570 Kalakaua Avenue. Tiki’s Grill & Bar, open from 10:30 a.m. to midnight, serves lunch and dinner, and is a popular venue for island entertainment. Free validated valet parking is available. For reservations or more information, call 808-923-TIKI (8454) or visit www.tikisgrill.com.
Good food, good music, and donations to a great cause?? Wish list worthy indeed! Now, if we could only book a trip to Hawaii to enjoy it in person.
We recently got an email about a Coffee company that is doing a little more to help preserve public lands. Good Earth Coffee will donate $1.00 for each online pledge they receive to The Trust for Public Land, a national nonprofit environmental organization. The Trust for Public Land conserves landscapes, parks, gardens, and natural areas for Americans to enjoy nationally and locally.
New Study Shows a Trip to the Coffee Shop Takes an Alarming Toll on the Environment
Americans are going green in many ways, but when it comes to coffee, they’re still in the dark. According to a new, independent survey by Kelton Research commissioned by Good Earth Coffee, 67% of consumers who frequent coffee shops admit to discarding their used paper cups into a regular trash can — and not into a recycling bin. That’s 28 billion cups (100 million pounds of paper) every year that end up in landfills.
Not only is home-brewed premium coffee less expensive and great tasting, it is also more convenient. Nearly three in four coffee drinkers say it’s easier for them to brew coffee at home than get a cup from a coffee shop. And 73% believe they are more likely to get a fresher cup of coffee at home – and one that’s better tasting. That’s because 60% of all coffee drinkers find their coffee tastes better when it’s in their favorite mug.
The survey also shows that Americans may need more education about the environmental impact of their coffee shop visits. Some 42% of Americans falsely believe it takes less time for a paper cup to decompose (20 years) than a newspaper (2 weeks). What’s more, the vast majority of paper coffee cups cannot be recycled or composted because the cup is coated with a thin plastic layer of unrecyclable material.
