They’ve done it again!

Fred Flare always has something fun for the house. This bird magnet board is one of many items that would be fun for a home office, a kids room, or even in a kitchen.

Did you know that they also have a blog? You can keep up on all the cute new items, and also their sales and specials, by clicking here.

Going green.

July 30th, 2007

I’m pretty excited at the recent popularity of green products. It’s great for the planet, and for design now too! It’s always been an interest of mine to be able to have “green” products in my home, but up until recently they have been hard to find, or ugly. Not so anymore! Here are some of my favorite finds so far:

  • Organic cotton bath towels in a range of colors.
  • Solar powered lights, there are many that I would love to add to my garden, and I think these would look very cute along a pathway.
  • Organic cotton bath mats from West Elm.
  • Method cleaning products, which smell good, clean well, and are planet friendly. I love my oMop, everyone should have one if you ask me!
  • A recycled magazine rack by Frank Lloyd Wright. Function, beauty, and green? Sounds good to me!

Are you trying to go green in your home? Have you found any great sites or products to help you do it?

Almost wallpaper

July 28th, 2007

I really like this room:

But what I love the most is the wall decal idea. It’s amost wallpaper, but it can be put on like stickers (and I have always loved stickers). Wall decals are becoming more and more available it seems, and the prices are getting better too. I found this photo at Rare Device, but I have seen wall decals several places (inlcuding Blik which I think are the orignal).

I think the design in the photo could look cute in a lot of places, it comes in green too, which would be really fun for a sunroom. I want them for my office.

Fingers Crossed

July 28th, 2007

It would be so amazing to win this contest! One of the things that we have wanted for our masterbedroom is a flat panel TV, the one we have now is good, but heavy, and we worry it will break our amiore right down to the floor some day. I have my fingers crossed!
